Young Adults

Dear new client,

I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my genuine care and understanding for what you’re going through. I can totally relate to feeling depressed, like drowning in the ocean, lost and uncertain, like you’re just hanging on to life, supported by a life jacket, with the waves gently moving up and down over you. It’s a tough feeling, and I want you to know that you’re not alone.

The goal is to find contentment, purpose, and understanding. We can work together to navigate through this journey, embracing the ups and downs (whether life’s curveballs, depression, or anxiety) like waves. I believe in you and your ability to find the strength to get to the shore.

I’m an authentic and skilled psychologist who genuinely cares about helping you become the best version of yourself. I’m here to empathically listen, support, and guide you on this path of self-discovery and resilience.

Growth is a continuous process, and I’m ready to grow alongside you. We can take this journey/literal walk together as I offer walk and talk therapy. I’m excited to meet you and start this new chapter in your life.

My quote is “Life is change, growth is optional, choose wisely.” By choosing therapy with me you are choosing growth!

Looking forward to meeting you soon!

Parents of Children/Teens

Hello there, Parents!

I know things can be tough sometimes as your relationship with your child shifts, you doubt your parenting, or your child might act out, and I’m here to listen. If you’re feeling frustrated or lost with your child, know  you’re not alone.

I understand that the disconnect between you and your child might have been going on for a while or just happened recently. You might not know exactly what’s causing it, but you can do something about it.

The key is to ask yourself, “How can I help?” instead of, “Why have things changed?” This can help you see things from a different angle.

I totally get what you’re going through as I am a parent of three children and have worked with kids in my private practice since 2012, and I’m here to support you and your child however I can. Seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness. I believe you have your child’s best interest at heart and you can find the help you need to create a better understanding of what’s happening and get your child the support they need. It’s okay to reach out for help. These modalities allow me to meet clients where they are and create a personalized, supportive space to explore challenges and build resilience.

I help children with low confidence who might feel nervous in social settings create meaningful relationships and feel better about themselves. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma Focused CBT for children to process trauma. For younger children, I use Play Therapy and for older children, I use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and to address social anxiety, loneliness, or disconnected relationships. Furthermore, for older children and teens, I offer other therapy tools like walk and talk and yoga-based approaches  to support emotional regulation, self-awareness, and mind-body connection.

Together, we can work through whatever challenges you’re facing and find empowerment, peace, and connections. I’m here to listen, support, and guide you and your child on this journey. Reach out if you need anything. If I can support you in creating more peace in your child's life and in your family's life, please contact me

Sincerely,

Dr. Bauer

Teens

Hi Teenager,

You may have noticed some changes in your behavior, actions, or emotions lately. You seem a bit nervous and irritable, and it’s like you’re feeling overwhelmed by your friend groups or relationships. Your’re friends do not include you anymore or you feel not understood by them.

Maybe you’re experiencing FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out), and it’s causing you a lot of stress. You might feel lost and unsure about the changes in your social circle.

Feeling unmotivated and having trouble focusing can also be a major source of stress. It could be related to your inability to concentrate, your use of screens, or even depression.

I know it can be tough to feel isolated and unmotivated, and it’s completely understandable if you want to escape it all. Please know you’re not alone in this. I’m here to help you find meaningful connections and manage your anxiety, whether it’s recent or longer-term. This is a place of vulnerability and zero judgment, a place to release any thought without worry.

Your courage to reach out for help is truly inspiring. I believe we can work together to find more mindful moments and ground yourself in your life, so you feel seen, heard, included, and connected. We can explore essential life skills, mindfulness practices, and grounding exercises, or if you prefer, we can do walking and talking therapy.

I also incorporate other mind and body exercises to help you achieve your goals, whether it’s graduation, friends who like you and you like back, being content with yourself and your life or seeking to flourish.

I’m here to listen and support you however I can. Let’s connect soon so you can start your healing journey. I’m excited to help you navigate through this time.

Thanks for taking the time to read my letter!

I hope you’re doing well.

Sincerely,

Dr. Bauer
